clouds or …

ζ

I look up and see fluff

floating around in the sky

such as

sweet marshmallow topping

on chocolate creme pie.

ζ

there are soft pillows of cotton

to embrace my dreams

and

a poofy down duvet

to cozy up my sleep.

ζ

in the morning i see a frothy dollop

of au lait on my cafe

while

swatting a brain full of gossamers – – – – –

keep them from clouding my day.

ζ

as the hours drift along

i look up and see more –

lots of creatures, faces

and yummy treats galore.

ζ

did i mention the mountains

snow-capped in whipped cream

and

many balls of cotton candy

breezing about –

i have seen?

ζ

oh yes, they are all there

and you can see them, too –

just

open your eyes

and

quite simply

– – – –

enjoy the view.

clouds

i see a big grin!

Thanks. I feel like I was inspired by Willy Wonks or an over active sweet tooth – not sure which!!

I looked up and saw a ball of fluff this morning. It was the kitten jumping on my head.

I so love the light, fun stuff you write, I think it is much harder to do than people may think. Great job and great pics. 🙂

Sometimes that is all it takes and by the way your impersonation of Willy Wonka is fantastic. 🙂

I’ve been looking through some of my earlier writings and stumbled upon this one. With your talk of clouds, I wanted to share. =)

    “in the clouds”
    tired of running and hiding,
she looked up to the sky
looked up at the puffy clouds
thought of how comfortable they looked
    and the view
she imagined being on a nice, comfy cloud and having a different perspective
she imagined a comforting hand reaching down and pulling her up
someone she knew from the past maybe
just hanging in the clouds, resting, and looking at life from a different point of view

Dan, I adore this. I have always admired clouds, but in the past year I seem to be spending more time in then and wishing to be on them. Makes sense though – my best friend died last year and I miss him. I keep thinking he may fly down some day;) xxx
      Thank you for sharing.

I love these pictures. I too am a cloud enthusiast. I have so many on my computer. I like to think that when the sun peeks out from behind a cloud that that is my mother checking up on me. I miss her, and that is how I hold her close. All my life has gone by and I never paid any mind to the clouds. A few years ago I finally saw the beauty in them and they have since saved me many times.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I have always enjoyed the sky above, but it has not been until this past year that i find myself ‘really’ looking at it. i think sometimes I will find my friend up there looking down and, yes, my mom.

It really is something to be amazed by. Something so seemingly simple is actually so complex. Definitely one of the many wonders of this world. I am just happy to be able to enjoy it every day.
