beyond….
a rose

is a rose ~ unless
one chooses

delve
deep
into the shadows ~
and beyond
where only the imagination has eyes
to believe…
the quints
strength and elegance
guardians poised to protect
a silent presence
frik and frak
they scurry about ~ ~ ~ running this way and that ~ ~ ~ up one limb ~ ~ down another ~ ~ jumping from one tree to the next... they jostle, they squib and suddenly pause for a wink, then back at it again.... Â Â and again.... Â Â and again....
**We have a pair of these little guys (could be girls, or one of each)…..always together and always enjoying our trees and roof and deck…. Â I tried to get a photo of both but they are too, too quick. Â We have named them Frik and Frak. Â The one in the photo is Frak – I think… or could be Frik………

I have many ‘sources’ of inspiration. There are my children, including my ‘daughter’ (the hairy one), the many forest preserves around where I live, lakes and ponds and anything which may catch my eye.
There is, however, one source ~ one pond ~ in particular – a few steps from my townhouse…

to accompany life’s many dances….
