saturday stare #11

As one can see, Issi is looking a bit hairier than usual (careful choice of word, so as not to insult the little lady). It has been a long winter, a big thaw, melt and now we are getting lots of rain….which means mud, mud, mud and more mud. White and mud mixed with rain and dirt = a grayish hue of hairy beauty. Plus, an extra thick winter coat and a few extra under coats = a plumper ball of pooch. What does this all mean? A trip to the stylist…..this Monday!!!!
*on a personal note: Isabelle’s mom was out of town for a week and then returned to a very hectic office. Her time here has been very limited to almost non-existent. Isabelle will make certain that mommy posts her words and pictures and, of course, log her stares.
saturday stare #10

mommy and daddy try to leave Issi alone, but she makes it so difficult…………. she is just too darn cute.
saturday stare #9

blue eyes stare straight on
prepared to see and be seen
so doggedly………..cute
*a note from Issi’s biographer: the second line of the haiku is interchangeable with the following options:
her tumtum yearns for chow chow
the daily vroom vroom awaits
ready for a special treat
dressed to impress the boyfriends
saturday stare #8

“Nothing better than tumtum while couching with my brothers.”
“It’s like the bestestestest ever!!!!”
reflections by Issi – part 3

when I am not on the deck
or
out…. walking around,
I enjoy lounging amongst the pillows
on the big comfy couch.
there are times when daddy joins me
and
we watch some tv
but
most of the time… I snooze
and
romp around… in my dreams.

reflections by Issi – part 2

ohhhhhhhh…………..what do we have here?
……………a straight line to where…………?
.…………..can it be my beloved……………….
….the handsome neighborhood stud muffin?
~ words by Issi as told to mommy ~
** Note from mommy: We live on the Des Plaines River Trail, which is another word for an interstate highway for all sorts of wildlife. One in particular is ‘stud muffin’, who we know to be a coyote. We see them on occasion and Issi certainly smells them. They have the coolest tracks – single file. How they manage to walk in a single file line with 4 legs/paws is amazing.
reflections by Issi – part 1

as I walk in the snow
with my mommy in tow,
she sings a song
while I sniff along………………………………..
………….to be continued….

**Isabelle is still working on this piece – this is her first installment.**
a saturday stare #6

My daughter Isabella, also known as Issi, Issi Bee or Isabelle, is a pure bred Siberian Husky. We adopted her from a Husky Rescue in November, 2017 after the passing of our beloved and forever, so beautiful Sydnee Pee, who almost made it to 14 years old.
Issi is 10 years old and a true beauty with crystal blue eyes and a personality that is as sweet as can be. She loves to use her words, tear her toys to shreds, tum tums , Greenies, lying on the deck, going for vrooms and walks…and runs….lots (especially the last two). Oh – and she has trained her parents and brothers very well!!! Very well, indeed 🙂
greetings from the couch

Wishing everyone a day full of joy, love, peace, hugs, kisses, treats, pets, licks and tum tums.
(Issi wants to include the last four on the list…)
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
