Weekly Photo Challenge – Floating

I have lots of photographs which reveal moments of floating, whether it be literally or figuratively. I have many photographs of clouds in the sky. I am always taking them – wanting to capture the ‘never to be seen moment again’ moment. The photo I chose for this week takes both the literal and figurative into account, as well as the absurd and sadness which has, unfortunately become a common site in today’s society and our bodies of water.
Jordan took this photo last year, as a result of a class assignment. He snapped a few wide angled shots which revealed more of the area around the bottle and this one, which was used for a film. Water was the assigned topic and I suppose, you can figure out the ‘angle’ in which the film explored this very wet topic. {By the way, the shadows under the water are little fish.}

Weekly Photo Challenge – Wall
~

As usual, I had to skew the rules of this week’s photo challenge. As you can see, the photograph is that of a door frame – not a wall. In my mind, a door frame could be considered part of a wall, so… this is a wall.
This photo is actually one of several due to the fact I wanted to be able to see the details. In case you are wondering, this is a quintessential growth chart. It began in 2002 and was actually moved next door (in 2007) when our friend re-fabricated his kitchen. I transferred the information from the piece of wood to the frame above and, of course, we added on… I took this photo a few days before we moved in April, 2013. (By the way, I was given the original door frame, which is still with us to this day.)
If you look very closely, you can see my name (mom) and when J and P passed me up!
