running free

∫
each night she waits patiently
for her chance to disappear –
to float away on a cloud…
far away from her fears
∫
as she peers into the darkness,
she imagines her dreams –
where life is loving and kind
and
her spirit can run
free
∫
she thinks upon morning
wondering what she may find –
whether it be a day of smiles and laughter
or
dark clouds rendering her blind
∫
– but –
∫
she tells herself – STOP
close your eyes – daylight is hours away…
think of nothing now
let your dreams run wild – to be free…
to
play
∫

The beauty of play – and to be very predictable, something else we can learn from dogs! Great poem!
