i blow kisses into the nighttime air

with the hope they will land

your cheeks.

i cradle you in my thoughts

in my dreams ~ just as i have

since the day you

a part of me.

you are in every ounce of my being

each heartbeat,

each breath.

no matter where

how far,

how close ~ ~

Weekly Photo Challenge – Wall

134 door

a door frame at our old two flat

As usual, I had to skew the rules of this week’s photo challenge.  As you can see, the photograph is that of a door frame – not a wall.  In my mind, a door frame could be considered part of a wall, so… this is a wall.

This photo is actually one of several due to the fact I wanted to be able to see the details.  In case you are wondering, this is a quintessential growth chart.  It began in 2002 and was actually moved next door (in 2007) when our friend re-fabricated his kitchen.  I transferred the information from the piece of wood to the frame above and, of course, we added on…  I took this photo a few days before we moved in April, 2013.  (By the way, I was given the original door frame, which is still with us to this day.)

If you look very closely, you can see my name (mom) and when J and P passed me up!

a follow up to: “to or not to…”

i know i have y’all hangin’ ~

wonderin’ what was IT ~

what could IT have been…

after hours  (actually 15 minutes) of debate and spreadsheets,

calculations and picking mom’s brain,

it seems it was an extra-large with two toppings ~

spicy Italian sausage

green peppers

there was,

a mystery…

a mystery still weighing heavily on my son’s mind…

a mystery sauce

origins unknown…

oh dear,

i can only hope and pray it was tossed!

under the weather

the eyes speak volumes

not feeling like herself

worried and feeling helpless

mommy loves her girl

poor pee

feeling blah….

Pee and I made a trip to the emergency animal hospital at 2am this morning, where we watched the sunrise.  I will spare y’all the details, but I will say she is going to be alright.  Antibiotics for two weeks and lots of extra loving care (uhhh…. more than the already ‘tons’ she already gets:)  Needless to say, I am a worry wort and in serious need of a nap.
