Monday in Paris #4

the view from the Musee d’Orsay

“I see dreams ~ ready to conquer…”

*This photo was taken from the Musee d’Orsay. On the left of the photo (behind the Hausmannian Buildings which run along the length of the photograph) is the Palais Garnier – Opera Nationale de Paris. On the right is Montmartre – home of Sacre-Coeur.*

a walk with P – act II

take me

to the place

words sprout wings

amongst

imaginable dreams

and

beyond ~

cognitive couching

the cliche states ~

“Dream big or go home.”

I disagree.

I say ~

“Even the tiniest of dreams

is

a reason to stay.”

onward young man…

many miles ahead…

dreams waiting to be embraced…

grab the wheel and drive…

hanging with mom

the day before he hit the open road…

An update on my son who resembles a yeti:

The ‘guy’ and two gals have been hanging out in CO…hiking, site seeing, exploring the Rocky Mountains, Boulder, Denver, Four Corners, Flagstaff…tomorrow they will be driving to the City of Angels.

searching ~

.

i have been searching for a story

with a happy ending ~

something simple

not grand,

no complications or pain.

.

a production of sorts ~

words dancing on pages,

pages waltzing through chapters,

chapters leaping between covers…

all bound by a simple

beginning,

middle

&

end.

.

can it be such a story truly exists

or

am i fooling my heart ~ wasting

my days ~ searching

for

a

book

I can… will… never write?

.

listen….

with open arms

they stand ~ waiting

to embrace

your passion

and

your vision.

I can hear their voices

whispering… from afar…

can you hear them?

your dreams are speaking…..

Note: Jordan left for the West Coast yesterday… with a car full of stuff and two friends.  Their final destination is Los Angeles, however, they are stopping along the way to hike in Colorado – Rocky Mountain National Park.  Jordan will be living and working in LA.  He was accepted into the AFI’s (American Film Institute) Summer Internship Program, which will begin June 15th.  Until then, he has a job – working as an assistant on a film set. (The director is an alumnus of Jordan’s school.) & one more thing… since he will be an AFI intern, he will working on this year’s “AFI Lifetime Achievement Award” program which will be nationally televised in June.  Apparently some dude by the name of Steve Martin is the honoree!!  Geez the kid might as well be attending/working the Academy Awards!!  To quote my son ~ “Mom, they are renting me a tux!”

going…

i find moments ~

so many moments

dancing amongst a stage

full of shimmers

and

murky shadows…

all

waltzing upon waves of time

coming from… going to…

someplace

yet

going to where…

i do not know.

present always…

*

*

my thoughts of you

are

very much like the sun ~

they rise and fall,

shine and fade

but

they never

drop

out

of

sight…

.

they are omnipresent…

.

forever floating through…

.

me…always.
