Weekly Pet Challenge – Stretching 101

Sometimes,
when you gotta stretch,
you gotta stretch…

Because of Pee’s ‘unique physique’, she has the ability to contort her body in some unusual positions.
By the way, she has a ticklish arm pit!

Weekly Pet Challenge – Throwback Pee
*
*
Yesterday, I was cleaning a mound of papers and miscellaneous items at work and came across this little gem up above – I have never seen this photo. With that said, it was taken by her daddy. Judging from the tape and the pile of paper it was tucked in, I deduce it came from Bill’s first office – he moved locations in 2006.
Sydnee Pee became a member of our family on March 6, 2005 and at the time she was approximately 3 months old. What is cute about this photo (other than Pee being cute all the time) is that Sydnee Pee had not grown into her body quite yet and her coat was not the golden honey color you see now. Also, she used to drink her water sitting down and if you take a real close look, you can see a stream of water falling from her mouth, which by the way is presently common, except she drinks standing up. (Imagine a horse drinking from a trough:)

Weekly Pet Challenge – The Pee in Pink
~
Sydnee Pee in Pink

“I told mommy I needed something to bring out my more feminine qualities…and it accentuates the unique pink spot on my shnooper!”
~

“Mommy cannot leave my head alone, though I am digging the pinkly and sparkly stuff…Does she realize how goofy she looks with my cookie in her mouth??? “
~
I decided to go less traditional – using a pink Santa hat, instead of red, though red certainly brings out Pee’s honey-colored features. In case you have not noticed, she was not too happy with me. With the exception of a turkey hat, I had given Sydnee Pee a break from head wear for the past few months. However, the weather is getting colder and her big ears need protection and, well, golly gee wiz, she is too darn cute NOT to decorate!
Oh, by the way, no body parts were harmed while being stuffed into the pink hat. However, the photographer almost swallowed the intended bribery when she lost her balance trying to adjust the costume and coaxing a stubborn model into a ‘happy’ pose.

Weekly Pet Challenge – Really?? YipPee!!
~

The big news came on Saturday morning – via text – “On the train”. Pee and I were picking up big Pee from the ACT exam and when I told Peyton the big news, Sydnee Pee sat up and started looking out the window. This photo was taken by Peyton just after the big news was announced. See the smile? That is ‘me and my brothers are going to be together’ smile.

Weekly Pet Challenge – “Oh Mommy…really…”

Not much to say except, Mommy had to vacuum, which meant interrupting Sydnee Pee’s sunbathing session, which meant flashing Mommy the big brown eyes and dropping the big pointy ears and making Mommy feel guilty…but Mommy overcame the torture and did what any housecleaning Mommy has to do – suck up all of the dog hair being shed by ‘you know who’!

Weekly Pet Challenge – Heaven on Earth for Pee
~
~
~
As soon as we walked in the door, Pee made her way to her window spot and passed out. All the excitement tuckered her out. She did not even flinch when I stuck the camera in her face!

Heaven for Sydnee Pee is quite simple – having Jordan and Peyton home. I know because of her smile – she has a smile which I see only when her brothers are home. Can you see it?

Weekly Pet Challenge – Guiltee Pee!

I will let the photographs speak for themselves:

It was a typical Thursday morning. Both Pee’s ate breakfast and big Pee headed upstairs to take a shower. Mommy finished making big Pee’s lunch and then headed upstairs to get dressed. Mommy always assures Sydnee Pee that she will be down in a few minutes so she can go outside. Mommy was gone approximately 10 minutes ~ she walked down the stairs to find a mess by her work bag. Pee was nowhere by the sliding balcony door nor at the foot of the stairs. Mommy turned around and voila! She was on her couch. How she got up is anyone’s guess. Mommy typically has to boost her up in the morning. (Arthritis…or so I thought…)

Not much else to say except it is cold here in the N.W. ‘burbs of Illinois and a certain someone is not liking it much.
It looks like it will be a long winter…

Weekly Pet Challenge – A Sunday Syd
~
Sunday lazing on the couch…
~
~
When Peyton is not home, life is boring. Mom would join Sydnee Pee on the couch but where would she fit?
~
What more is there to say? Sometimes Pee prefers the comforts of the couch…I mean it is her couch, after all, to do with what she wants.

Weekly Pet Challenge – Sunbathing Beauty

A lazy Sunday

Not much to say except, Sydnee Pee loves the sun. She sits in the center, then migrates to the border, usually keeping her derriere in the radiant heat.
