Hello, Hello, Hello –
Yes, Yes, Yes – it is about time – I so, so, so apologize for the delay in getting my many, many, many thank you’s out. I want each and every one of you to know that my appreciation is deeply heartfelt and has been here all along. I am so, so, so honored and so, so, so tickled by every award I have been gifted. Please know that I cherish each and every one.
Without further adieu, I would like to customize this post. Here is my game plan: I am listing each one, as well as, the sweet and lovely blogger(s) who gifted the award. I would love to list each and every rule, however, I will be posting a novella and since novellas are not really my forte (not yet), I will condense things and improvise. Get comfy – and away and away and away we go…..

I would like to end this post by following the criteria of The Best Moment Award –
I have experienced so many wonderful moments. Yes, there are the biggies such as every moment with my children, dancing on stage, finishing an Ironman, graduating college, …….. BUT the best moments are the ones which can be the smallest – a smile from someone running past me on the trail, watching the birds nosh from the bird feeder, having a cake bake just right, to name just a few… Yes, all silly things, but they add up. At the end of the day they contribute to a feeling of hope. I would also like to say that my time spent on WordPress has been filled with so many ‘best moments’. The feeling of accomplishment when a piece is complete and the publish icon is clicked. Each comment that is made and reading the work of writers who have become my friends and finding new writers to enjoy and appreciate. All wonderful ‘best moments’!
To the award nominees, please know that you are under no obligation to accept these awards. Some have specific criterium, and if you would like to get this information, please drop me a line – I will send it right over. The badges are yours to copy and to place on your own blogs. If I have given an award to someone who does not accept awards, I understand and I apologize for not getting the memo:) Let me know, and it will be duly noted. I have stated this before – I enjoy giving awards, because it is a way for me to show my appreciation for what you do and to share your blog with others who may not have found you – yet.
So, this concludes the mother of all thank you awards post. I would like to end with one more BIG THANK YOU to say PLEASE keep doing what you do because you are all awesome!
Till the next time we meet – Happy Reading, Happy Writing, Happy Day!
Kimberly xxxx

ode to a bee
˜ ˜
little bee, little bee
come play with me.
little bee, little bee
let’s see what we can see.
˜
buzz buzz little bee
buzz buzz all day long.
buzz buzz little bee
keep singing your song.
˜
drink drink little bee
&
eat eat eat –
all the lovely blossoms
with nectar so sweet.
˜
little bee, little bee
cute as can be,
i will always respect you
so
please do not sting me.
˜
rays of light
one’s darkness brings to light
emotions being felt –
a purging of hurt and sadness
or
a subtle request for help.
¤
the veil of darkness can be ravenous;
ready to swallow a person whole –
rendering its victim helpless
as if drowning –
in an abyss
of
blackness
and
cold.
¤
rays of light are not always clear,
for those suffocating
in despondency –
it is a gleam that burns in the distance
which extends a hand
for
the impaired to see.
¤
a sliver of light can make all the difference –
brighten a spirit
or
warm a heart.
it can save a drowning soul from this life –
from
‘forever’
being
torn
apart

This piece is dedicated to the rays of light who ‘are there, are here’ with virtual shoulders to cry on, smiles and hugs.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
