This is my favorite ‘chapeau’ photo.
She looks like she is ready to go to the Abbey for a ‘spot of tea’.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Ephemeral

First of all, this is an honest to goodness real photo taken with an i-phone and it was not edited in any way. Second of all, Peyton took the photo. (I was home in Illinois.) You may ask how this was shot? Quite simply Jordan jumped like a kangaroo and Peyton rapidly took photos. He essentially kept tapping his finger on the touch screen. I am certain of this fact, because I have seen the evidence – several shots of Jordan taking off and landing…. (There is a fence present but you cannot see it at the angle of which Peyton took the photo and Jordan was jumping.)
One more thing, I just about fainted when I saw this photograph. I was ready to call their dad and yell on the top of my lungs – instead, I called Jordan and gave him the whole “how could you speech” and “what would have happened if you fell” and “why were you fooling around by a bazillion foot drop off” and “you could have been killed and turned into buzzard food” and “what were you thinking”…… Okay, I will shut up now…..

Weekly Photo Challenge – Wall
~
~
~
~
As usual, I had to skew the rules of this week’s photo challenge. As you can see, the photograph is that of a door frame – not a wall. In my mind, a door frame could be considered part of a wall, so… this is a wall.
This photo is actually one of several due to the fact I wanted to be able to see the details. In case you are wondering, this is a quintessential growth chart. It began in 2002 and was actually moved next door (in 2007) when our friend re-fabricated his kitchen. I transferred the information from the piece of wood to the frame above and, of course, we added on… I took this photo a few days before we moved in April, 2013. (By the way, I was given the original door frame, which is still with us to this day.)
If you look very closely, you can see my name (mom) and when J and P passed me up!

Weekly Photo Challenge – Orange you glad it’s photo challenge time?

This week’s challenge encompasses the color orange. It seems I have quite a bit of orange on my walls and walking around the house. As one can see above, each element of orange, is related to the arts in some way, including the bonus photo. My son Peyton has always enjoyed drawing and painting. My mother’s dream was to become a commercial artist. My son Jordan is on his way to becoming a ‘big deal’ in Hollywood and Sydnee Pee – everyone knows she is the quintessential super model and dramatic actress.

Weekly Pet Share – Tuggy Love
*
*
*
*
*
Sometimes Pee likes to pick up her tuggy, sniff it, chew it, keep it close by…really close by….
(This particular tuggy was Peyton’s soccer sock. I am not certain as to what events transpired, but there she was, doing her ‘shark thing’ move, Peyton was ‘kinda’ yelling speaking loudly and then VOILA Sydnee Pee had a new tuggy. Yes, Peyton was clearly a victim of coercion…)
