Weekly Photo Challenge – Twist

When I saw the topic for this week’s challenge, I realized I had the perfect photo of a ‘twist’. For those of you familiar with my blog, you have already become acquainted with my little girl – Sydnee Pee. What you see above is quite typical of how Pee sleeps. You may notice there is something missing. This missing ‘thing’ – her right front leg – enables her to sit and sleep in the most awkward of positions. All I can say is if I slept in this position, I would require a spinal adjustment!

It is day two of antibiotics and she is starting to feel a bit better. Yes, it is obvious from the above photo that she slept with me last night and she is also with me at work. Tonight Peyton will be home, so the P’s get to sleep in the pod & maybe, just maybe, I will get some sleep tonight???? Maybe?

Even when Sydnee Pee becomes Sydvicious, she is mighty pretty. One can get lost in those eyes – but the teeth – they are as big as her ears!

Weekly Pet Challenge: in disguise

I have my own personal guardian who has a tendency to border on stalking. Sydnee Pee is very bright – she knows exactly what she is doing at all times, even when she is asleep. She has a tendency to place herself between me and the exit route. In other words, she will not let me pass without making me feel horribly horrible first. Yes, go ahead and say it – “Pee has her mommy trained!”

Well today is the day – the film is complete and being submitted this morning and then it is placed into the hands of the faculty. He is a very tired young man and he is swamped with work. (After all, he is in college – a double major of, not just film, but business.) His school year is winding down… he will be home next weekend…then he gets his wisdom teeth pulled!
I must say, I am liking the editing beard. I told him that his face is now hairier than Pee’s! I wonder what she will think?

Weekly Pet Challenge – on the couch with Pee

A rare opportunity

A chance to sit on Sydnee Pee’s couch – this is a rare opportunity, indeed.
This couch used to belong to the boys and I. The three of us could sit and watch marathons of Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Twin Peaks, The Food Network… for hours. After her daddy passed away, a certain hairy beast came to live with us full-time. As you can see there is a blankey and under it a pillow. These belong to her daddy. These days, it is a rarity to sit with her – she practically takes up the whole thing. On Saturday, I saw an opportunity and I grabbed it. There was a teensy spot between the hairy blankey and the hairy butt. I sat down, whereupon, Pee immediately draped one leg on my thigh. Of course, I used her for support. She makes for a nice hairy arm rest.
Please take note of the photos hanging on the wall. This is called Pee’s corner.
Another Week, Another HumpH Day

Sydnee Pee’s favorite spoken word is humph. Yes, humph is a word – just ask Miriam Webster. Since Wednesday has become known as Hump Day – the middle of the week doldrums (lots of humphs) – I thought I would try to find ways to make the hump a little less humpy with a smile (hopefully). Last week was a buck, this week is a humph.

All-in-all it was a good time.
Incidentally, Mommy got a new I-phone, which means more photos of Sydnee Pee. Mommy is excited. Syd is, humph, not so certain yet…
