Madness of the Big Dance…..
• tis the time of year where madness rules – when a ball and net turn some into fools. • where a seed is not a plant, a bracket rules the office and a grown man (or woman) cry because their favorite team is offed. • there are kids of all ages wearing their fave team jersey and alumni digging in closets for old college mementos ~ then there are school pennants flying high – on public display along with echos of fight songs being prepared for game day. • the whole process is quite sophisticated, beginning with a group of 64 then whittled down to a Sweet 16, Elite 8 and The Final 4. • by the time the Big Championship game arrives, almost 3 weeks will have passed… when all is done, the trophy is won – what’s next??? •Major League Baseball will have just BEGUN! • • Peyton is home tonight…through the weekend. One guess where he will be camping in front of….. • • •

Weekly Pet Share – Familee Observations with Sydnee Pee

Sydnee Pee looking at Jordy and Peyton – they are both sitting behind me (I am actually on the couch:).
*

These photos were taken the night of New Year’s Eve. I was sitting on the couch (yes, Pee let me share, along with a blanket – woohoo!), Peyton was on the rocking chair behind me and Jordan was moving all over the place. There was a Doobie Brothers concert on the television and he was dancing. I was watching Pee watch her brothers and it was the darnedest cute’ist thing. She was beaming her ‘my brothers are home’ smile. I did try to record video, but the lighting was less than ideal. If I got off the couch to remedy the situation, I would have ruined the moment…and lost my spot on the couch…

Another Week, Another HumpH Day
ς
ς
ς
ς
Sydnee Pee’s favorite spoken word is humph. Yes, humph is a word – just ask Miriam Webster. Since Wednesday has become known as Hump Day – the middle of the week doldrums (lots of humphs) – I thought I would try to find ways to make the hump a little less humpy with a smile (hopefully). Last week was a buck, this week is a humph.

friday night lights – then and now
Then:
Last year, my son Peyton was a freshman in high school. He was also in the marching band. On September 7th, 2012 Jordan and myself attended the home game. The band was awesome, our team won, it was exciting – BUT – there was another grand performance which took place – high above the game –
Now:
Last night, the two P’s and I took a walk along Lily Lake down the road from where we live. We were gifted with quite a performance. It was as if two separate stories were being told simultaneously – the southern sky and the western sky.
What might we see next year?
