Weekly Pet Challenge – Pee’s Puppee Cookees

Peyton (aka as Big Pee) in the kitchen.

dough rolled and ready to cut into shapes

cookies being placed on baking sheets

ready to rock and roll….i mean ready to rock and bake….

Yes, I know – you are wondering where is the ‘pet’ – this is a pet challenge after all, right?  Normally Pee is overseeing her brother in the kitchen, but this time she was lying in the sun on the deck.  I did try to get a picture of her eating a cookie – nope – she would not allow it.  So, I am resorting to another photo of Pee sleeping with me, since this is where she has been sleeping when big Pee has not been home…

Yes, mom is in the photo….

Weekly Pet Challenge – Sydnee Pee and Mommee

sleeping…hand in paw…

My little girl has been a bit out of sorts.  I believe Sydnee Pee is really, really missing big Pee. She hasn’t eaten in about 3 days and follows me everywhere in the house.  Our schedule has been such that she has not seen her twin brother (they are two Pees in a pod, wouldn’t you know), in almost three weeks.  Between Jordan being away at school and no Pee to hang on and sleep with, I have had to relent – allow certain rules of the house to be set aside, and yes, permit a certain young lady the access to my bed…

Weekly Photo Challenge – Nighttime

view outside my townhouse at 5:20am

A foggy morning at 5:20am.  This is the view from the driveway of my townhouse.  Yes, the moon is in the sky and there is a street lamp on the other side of the tree.

Not quite nighttime, but, well…… 🙂

Weekly Pet Challenge – I swear…I did not do it…

I went upstairs to do some cleaning and when I came down….

a quetsion

“Ahem….Sydnee Pee…what did you do?”

“Sydnee Pee…What is this? What did you do…?”

what's your point

“I swear, I did not do it… I simply did not or would ever do such a thing…”

When one looks at Sydnee Pee, they see this sweet and adorable little Princess – an angel with big ears and hair……  Ok, I agree, she is all of that stuff, but she does have her devilish moments.  Tearing apart tissue is not one of Pee’s typical character traits, however…

on this particular day, she did just that…

or at least I think she did…

of course, she said she did not…

I suppose I should believe her…….right?

Weekly Photo Challenge – Endurance

Ironman Wisconsin 2006 – 1 second before crossing the finish line

For me, Ironman Wisconsin was the pinnacle of endurance.  Never had I ever undertaken such a task and it proved to be a true test of physical and mental gumption.  It was the longest day of my entire physical life.  The rain, the wind, unseasonable cold weather and the constant deadlines nipping at my heels.

I had one goal and ‘that’ was to finish and ‘that’ I did ~

3 minutes shy of 17 hours.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Humanity

15 some years ago…

pnut 2

my little men…

I will admit, I have been struggling with this challenge. Humanity can be expressed in many ways.  I have been looking through photo albums and flash drives…looking for something which shouts ‘humanity’.  Ironically, the photos that first came to my mind are the ones I have posted above.  I remember each one of these moments vividly and I happened to have a camera within reach. (These were taken long before the camera phone became a common accessory.)

Peyton was barely two years old and Jordan was almost 5.  Neither photo was posed.

In these photographs, I see humanity.

“I vant to be alone….”

Introducing Ms. Norma Desmond…

“I am NOT ready for my close up… yet… Mr. DeMille…”

“LEAVE ME…A star needs her rest…”

I am confused…which is the hardest work – taking care of a diva or being a diva…humph…….
