i call it my scribbles

you may call it what you wish,

they are feelings and thoughts scratched into words ~

sometimes rhyming…

sometimes not…

they are what they are

they come from inside ~

my mind, my gut,

my heart.

    Oh boy. Good morning dear.

    • 2. words4jp  |  March 9, 2015 at 11:03 pm

Oh boy? I wrote this piece because on tumblr there is a slew of ‘I am a poet’ pieces. What makes who a poet. Me – I write words. I cannot see myself as a poet or a writer. Blast someone who likes to write. And that’s it;). Sorry for the late response- I got a new job!!! Today was the first day:). xx

First: congrats on new job! Don’t blame ya on the Tumbler poet criticism :(. I get tired of the small minds everywhere. I like to write as well. I’m thinking the start of the gardening season will take a new slice of my soul :). Keep blasting!!

I think we sometimes forget that what others write comes from somewhere. We may only see words but the thoughts originated from an experience or who knows what.

I’m trying to figure out where my own scribbles come from. lol
Laying down on the crazy couch. 😦

Hehehehehehehe – I was driving to work this morning – first day on a new job and I was inspired to write all sorts of things. But writing and driving is hard to do:)

Please don’t get mayo on my blog. 😦

      • 10. words4jp  |  March 12, 2015 at 11:42 am

Never. I am not a mayo girl. πŸ˜‰

  • 11. nottooold2  |  March 9, 2015 at 12:45 pm

And doesn’t if feel kind of cool to get them out? Not only that, but to have others enjoy and empathize with your thoughts and feelings? πŸ˜‰

    • 12. words4jp  |  March 10, 2015 at 12:49 am

Yes, it does. Though, I find myself doubting it on many occasions. I wrote a piece yesterday on another blog and I do not think it was, well, let’s just say Maybe I should not have written it but it was part of a collaboration and I could not think of any other way to write using the criteria I was given. Today’s piece on the same blog, responds to how I felt in writing it.

This particular piece was written response to a tumblr movement at the moment. A lot of people are writing ‘i am a poet’ pieces. I cannot see myself as such or even as a writer. I simply write.

      • 13. nottooold2  |  March 11, 2015 at 3:30 pm

Now that strikes a chord. “Poet”, not sure that name suits me either. They seem to be simply words on a piece of paper or a computer monitor. They are fun to write and sometimes very healing, but a poet….not hardly. I think your work is much more poetic than most anything I’ve written because it has so much FEEL. That’s cool.

        Merci Beaucoup. πŸ˜‰

    I call it/them great.
Just catching up with your words. I’ve missed them.

    • 20. words4jp  |  March 10, 2015 at 12:43 am

Thank you so much for your lovely compliment. I read this earlier but could not comment – new job…cannot get on my blog like I used to. I will say, sometimes I struggle with writing because I wonder if it has any worth. I know I should write for myself and I do, but there is this little part of me that thinks does anyone really connect….:).

      • 21. LeProsey  |  March 10, 2015 at 6:16 am

        Congratulations on your new job.
I feel the same and go through up and down spells. I also have hundreds of words that I intended to share but are now just sat there and will only ever be read by me, over and over, thinking they’re no good or too personal to share.
        I think we’ve connected.

Call it whatever you wish, as long as it continues, and always remains enjoyable and important to you. I guess what I do could be called poetry. I just see it as a therapeutic form of pleasant distraction that involves my absolute love of words. Labels matter not when we all have our own reasons, and motivations to write. Keep Scribbling my friend.

  • 28. hitandrun1964  |  March 10, 2015 at 2:28 am

That’s where the important and true words are kept.

    • 29. words4jp  |  March 11, 2015 at 2:15 am

So true;) xxxxxx I hope you are enjoying this lovely weather;)

  • 30. Dom DiFrancesco  |  March 10, 2015 at 3:03 am

Your words are honest and from the heart every time, it shines through in everything you write. Keep doing what you are doing, form and rhyme are not everything. πŸ™‚

  • 31. charlypriest  |  March 10, 2015 at 7:46 am

Rhyming or not the important thing is the heart. Nice one, good to be reading you again.

    • 32. words4jp  |  March 11, 2015 at 2:18 am

It is wonderful to have you back again. I hope the ankle is feeling better. Xxxxx
