Thank you so very much. This piece has a special meaning to me. I wrote it and titled it. After I thought of the title it triggered a memory of a song that I have loved but had not heard in years. And now I keep playing in YouTube. And just downloaded on iTunes. A little ditty by Neil Diamond. Damn – he is a hell of a poet. xx

Sweet! Hmmm, the curious cat here may have to take a listen to the ND song;(. I have a weakness for poetry as you do know.

Ok, this one is all on there, maybe the other one was cut off because it was a reblog. Lovely poem, Kim. Beautiful.

Thanks. I am sorry for my last rambling – bordering on a rant. I am frustrated with the blogging thing. I want to write and post and read and comment. It is not working.

Is it “you ruin me”? The song, i mean?
7. words4jp | March 1, 2015 at 7:44 pm
No, it is actually called Play Me by Neil Diamond. 🙂

I thought about posting the YouTube link, but I cannot get the links to work and my ‘play me’ is a bit different. He speaks of someone inspiring and loving him – mine is more about trying to find one’s ability to accept themselves for who they are. His song is outstanding.

Reblogged this on ahhsioux's Blog and commented:
Here’s the song that inspired this poem:
They truly go together here!
Enjoy the blissful lovelies of these poets.
What a dream state send-off for our Monday slavedoms.

thanks for the reblog:) I have always been a ND fan – he was my first ever live concert (with mom when I was little). His music – especially his lyrics – have always been so lovely – especially his early works.
