Weekly Photo Challenge – Serenity

There is a pond outside my townhouse. It is the first and last thing I see when I go outside each day. When the weather gets warmer, the fountain will be up and running. I am always amazed by the view. Evening, daytime, winter, spring, summer or fall – it does not matter. It isn’t extravagant – just a water retention pond dug out in a subdivision, but there is much beauty and wonder amidst the simplicity of its existence.
There is something supremely relaxing – serene – about this pond.

Such a peaceful photo. I invite you to go on Youtube and listen to Aaron Copland’s Quiet City. 🙂 It goes well with your photo. I think. 🙂

I just listened to it – it is beautiful. Thank you so much for the recommendation – and i agree. I am familiar with his music, but more of his pieces used for dance – Martha Graham, Agnes De Mille. Btw- sorry for the late response – been sick. But this music is soothing to the head. Thanx. 🙂 xx

I’m happy for you, Kim. There’s nothing like living by something you love:)

You’re right: serenity can come from a simple place, just close to home.
