a fool

i cry tears for a voice

which no longer speaks

in distant echoes.

they pierce my thoughts,

drawing blood from my mind

i listen with shame and remorse.

on the top of my lungs,

i scream

to drown the sounds of an idiot’s heart ~

this idiot

i know all too well,

who should have known better

to open herself

Anyone who opens themselves to love is no idiot – far from it!
