same two words….

¿

every year

i ask the same two questions,

and

every year

the answers never change.

for the first i ask

“How was your day”

and

with one word

the answer is…….

“BORING”

¿

the next one is simple –

“So, what did you do”

and

i would expect a little more explanation

BUT

he never strays from his usual response

and

with a tired sigh

he says……

“NOTHING”

¿

SO,

you can imagine my surprise,

on the first day of school

when my typical inquiries were made ~

a total of five words

popped out of his mouth ~

i was stunned,

i was shocked,

i was amazed!

¿

i just about back ended the car in front,

and

thought I was going to faint ~

when the words

“NOT BAD”

&

“SOME INTERESTING STUFF”

spilled from his mouth,

via

his 16 (almost 17) year old brain!

 ¿

i have nothing more to add to this piece

because i am still in a state of shock,

so

i will say

THANK YOU for reading,

i must get back to work now

i am being bad ~

why

because

i am still on the clock!!!

 ¿

Wait until they are 25 and explain what they do for a living. Mesmerizing.

    Hi words4jp,

I am just setting up a new service to share writing of all genres. I thought you might be interested, you could just copy some pieces from your blog to test it out.

You are absolutely welcome to put your website details anywhere in the article and use it as a portal for hits to this blog. We are getting a lot of views but looking for more articles to start it all properly.

It seems potentially mutually beneficial, let me know what you think.
