All is well in Pee’s world tonight!

Yes, it was a very long July 4th weekend in Lakemoor, IL.

Lakemoor is centrally located to several communities – all of which put on firework displays & our abode is about two miles from – ground zero – where the Lakemoor extravaganza is shot off & has the reputation amongst the these communities to have the most awesome 4th of July display!  So, Friday began with miscellaneous salvos being set off – the kind that shook the many pieces of art hanging on my walls.  This of course, culminated with the big event. On Saturday night there were fireworks in the neighboring communities.

OH! Let us not forget, there are always those in the subdivision who feel the need to set ‘something’ off – something loud that comes out of nowhere, that freaks out an already highly sensitive and emotional young lady.  Bottom line – Sydnee Pee was very unhappy.  She followed me everywhere, including the my bathroom and did not eat.  Getting her to go outside was like playing Russian roulette.  All was good but there was this one time… one big boom and she was running the 50 yard dash back to the house.

On Sunday night the boys came home.  Sydnee was beside herself.  She was so happy and the boys were so happy and mommy was so happy.  Everyone was so happy!

she is feeling much better. nothing like a dose of boys to make her happee:) and she is driving with me all over creation taking and picking up boys to and from work. Boys and vroom vrooms – what else can a princess ask for?

Absolutely, at least Pee likes the car, none of my 5 do. They sit on the seat and shake. 🙂

nope – not Pee. I keep thinking someday she is going to hijack the vehicle and take off. She could have her own license, you know:)

Our pets hate fireworks as well. So disruptive I am not a fan. What makes it worse people on the beach shoot off illegal fireworks and the police do little.

it is annoying. they are illegal here, as well, but this fact does not seem to mean anything. geez, we have two Lake County Sheriffs living in my subdivision:) Yikes!

Our dog has actually gone to the fireworks with us for the last three years. We’ve always assumed she’d rather be with us than at home in a crate with booms all around. The first two years, she sat and watched them. I have a great photo of her doing this. This year, though, she startled during the finale. She rose to her feet, barked and whimpered. We decided next year, she might actually prefer to be at home in a crate with booms all around. Kinda sad, but what else is there?

Also, Lakemoor is only 10-15 minutes from my dear HME. I can’t believe we haven’t been up there yet this summer. This summer isn’t as good as other summers! lol

Wowzers!! If you ever come this way, drop me a line;). Syd did not used to be afraid of fireworks. One year her daddy had an idea to being her to a park with a big fireworks display. The first boom and she went running. On her two hind legs – pulling Bill who was 200lbs. It was comical though I felt horrible for Pee. Bill looked hysterical though.

Well that’s how life is, half comedy, half tragedy, sometimes at the same time! I will definitely let you know when we’re up there next.

She and I just got home from picking Peyt up from work. I am ready to hit the hay. She is with him. She has attached herself to him. They truly are my Pees.
