Regret bears nothing
But memories of heartache;
Live, love…don’t regret.

i know what ‘they’ say about regret – it eats you up inside, makes you angry and inevitably destroys you. i get it and i have managed to let go of quite a bit, but there is ‘that one’ that, no matter how hard i try to bury it throw it away, it will come back. and each time it stings worse and it never will go away until the day comes that i am no longer around to allow it to return. and yes, there is that self forgiveness thing, too. that is a poem for another day.

I do understand that…some things are so much harder to release then others. It just breaks my heart to see so beautiful a person, so beautiful a mind, in such pain.

I envy those that are able to live life without regret. I haven’t learned that secret yet.
