“Mommy – I am staying on this bed and there is nothing you can do about it!”

As you can see, Jordan is home.  His first year of college is tucked under his belt and he returned home just in time to… have his wisdom teeth pulled!  He had his surgery Friday and  I brought him home on Saturday morning.  As he hobbled in the door, a startled Sydnee Pee was very excited to see him.  She sniffed him up and down and all around.  As we walked up the three flights of stairs to the bedroom, Pee was right beside him.  I wanted Jordan to stay in my room, so as Peyton and  I got him settled in, ‘the’ big paw slammed on the mattress.  A certain wide eyed sister was standing on her hind legs – demanding (ok, it was more like a request) that she be hoisted up on to the bed.  I, of course, obliged and she settled in right next to Jordan – where she has been ever since he came home:)

It has been quote extraordinary, really. I have never seen her like this – even when I have had my sad moments, she has not been this attached to me. i think it has to do with the fact that she was with her daddy when he died – for over 24 hours, it was just the two of them and I found her lying next to him. When Jordan came home she really sniffed him down and her excitement to see him turned to an almost kinda concerned look. and at that moment, she stuck to him. it is truly amazing to see.

Yes, it is wonderful having him home, even if he is in such a sorry state (between you and I and WP, he is much better, but he is really hamming it up and of course I am letting him. It is nice to have my ‘little boy’ around).

Thank you – he is slowly returning to the land of the living. Still looks like a chipmunk – more so on the left side, but I think he will make it;)

She is a sweet Pee – yes, he is feeling better. I think he milked his convalescence a bit, but I enjoyed babying him. And Pee will always keep a close eye on him 🙂
