briefest of moments…
anticipation flutters
alone – not lonely
purest of joy becomes strength
before the curtain rises…

i have always been amazed how lonely it can be when surrounded by a lot of people. life has always generally felt like that.

I could feel the dancer’s anticipation in the words of the poem. I always love when you write poetry about dancing!

thank you. the thing about this piece is – it really is more about the little things of life in general than the moment i was standing on a stage. 🙂

Life is a “stage” of sorts. I think your poem was lovely.
