The Singing Hills Forest Preserve located in Lake County, IL.

This preserve began in 1942 as a 541 acre farm – Singing Hills Farm.  The name Singing Hills comes from the number of birds that inhabit the land.  Lake County Forest Preserves acquired it in 1997 and it is now part of the Millenium Trail – for walkers, cyclists, runners, horse back riding and the countless animals that live, walk on and fly by…

    Well that’s just lovely! Whenever I’m up your way, I pretty much just get excited about Oberweis, but that’s lovely!

      Chicagoland – especially the NW burbs which houses the Lake County – has the most amazing forest preserves. So beautiful and so much to do – and less calories than Oberweis chocolate ice cream;). Hehehehehe…..
