nightly consessions

as we succumb to sleep each night,

she gets 1/3rd

i get 2/3rd.

all is comfy and cozy…copacetic

she shakes,

a few hours later,

i am lying awake –

unable to sleep a wink…

exhausted from the nightly battle –

for mattress domination.

as i roll over and look into

the big brown eyes of my opponent,

it seems the tables have turned…

a victor has been proclaimed –

she has 2/3rd,

New Image

yes, you may think she is cute
try sleeping with her…

she usually sleeps on her own bed – oops – i meant her brother’s bed, but the below zero nights have made for a chilly puppy.  i have made an exception and allowed her to go running – oops – i mean sleep with me.  it is nice to know that one of us is keeping up with their exercise in this very cold weather and getting a good night’s sleep.  🙂

I can sympathize with you on this one, 4 of our 5 dogs sleep on the bed with my wife and I. Fortunately they are smaller than Pee, but size doesn’t necessarily equate to taking up less room and their licking in unison can be enough to drive us nuts. This said we love them all none-the-less even if they are paw-licking, furry bed hogs. 🙂

yes, true. very true. fortunately the other Pee – Peyton is home now and she is with him! I am going to try and catch up on some z’s 🙂 I used to tell Bill he was a sucker when it came to Pee – he would always say she made me do this and she made me do that and I would say – yep – you a 180lb 6′-2″ guy being pushed around by a 55lb hunk of hair and then he would say yes – she is vicious! Yeh, right – he fell victim to her cuteness – and now i have too! call me SUCKER!

Haha, this piece touches me. My bed is taken over by my daughter and two cats every night.
