in a cell

years of hiding –

afraid of stepping

out from under a veil

of fear and uncertainty,

yet wanting to feel the warmth of

possibility and fuel the fire

of hope and longing to explore one’s dreams.

    I love this style – I’ve only tried it once though. Maybe I should work on another one. Did you see that I published a collection of love poems (but half are filled with angst) today?
