He is still thinking ….. mechanical, chemical, mechanical, chemical – or civil (his dad is a civil engineer)

Oops, I apologize for the facetious commentary.
Both are top notch fields. I wish him all the best.

Do not apologize – I giggled – I need to giggle!! It is actually quite cool to see him ‘get serious’. Plus – Jordy is not around to tease, so he is, I think beginning to feel a bit more mature in his ways of thinking. For once the big bro is not telling him what he should do – or shall I say not around telling him what he should do. 🙂 I like to giggle!!

        Ah, okay I’m glad. 🙂

My dad is a civil engineer, and he has always made the world a better place than he found it. 🙂

My son’s dad is a civil engineer and my grandfather was a mechanical engineer. Peyton is currently taking an engineering course in high school – he is really liking the mechanical genre – BUT- he is toying with chemical – he is my chef and has always enjoyed cooking and has toyed with food science, which would be chemical engineering based…….

what to do, what to do…… His older brother (the college boy) thinks he is destined to invent a new yeast – yes, he teases Peyton relentlessly…..:)

My cousin is a chemical engineer. It’s a good job, but you do have to be willing to work with lots of different kinds of materials that might be dangerous or corrosive.

I bet chemical engineering is dangerous. Of course he wants to play with food;) but he will most probably have to play with the dangerous stuff before the yummy stuff.

Well, you always have to eat. And actually chefs make a good salary and are very respected.

    No “social” engineering?
