the conversation

door opened:

a conversation had… while walking in the woods…

open and honest…

safe and secure…

unconditional trust…

talking…

stammering…

struggling…

to open one’s soul…

– then –

words

festering inside…

words

never spoken…

words

burst out…

words

never heard

since the beginning of one’s time…

door closed:

the conversation had…while walking in the woods…

stupidity

a mistake

an error

a regret

never,

ever

to

be

made

again

trees

a place i will never see again.

Wow, is just what I was about to say, but Hastywords beat me to it. I love this poem and I surely can relate. Very well done Kimberly.

Sometimes words are so unreliable, and even destructive…. but they demand letting out! Great poem this…..doors opened 🙂

Not a pleasant place to be, but a place most of us have been. Good writing … and now that I’m back from break, just trying to catch up with some hellos!
