stifled

ˆ

drowning in one’s thoughts,

suffocating in one’s feelings,

strangled by sadness –

unable to breathe.

ˆ

haunted by a past,

blinded by mistrust,

unable to see through the darkness –

one’s forward path.

ˆ

with eyes wrapped in a shroud

and

voice stifled by fear,

an existence is paved

but

going nowhere.

ˆ

though entombed in a cave

far from the light…

words slip through the cracks –

bringing

one’s feelings

to

life.

There will be light, there will be sunshine. If not today, then tomorrow or perhaps the day, week, or month after. With patience and time, it will all become better.
